ACC Chairman & Board Members Meet Ambassador Eitan

Amman Chamber of Commerce Chairman Issa Haider Murad called for coordination among private sector institutions, embassies and Jordanian diplomatic missions abroad to promote Jordanian exports and the economic and investment opportunities available in the Kingdom.
During their meeting with the Jordanian ambassador to Greece Fawaz Ei

tan, the Chairman and Board Members expressed the ACC’s readiness to provide coordination and cooperation that would serve our national economy and promote the business environment in the Kingdom.


Murad stressed the need to utilize the national economy elements of power and Jordan’s competitive advantage among the countries of the region in terms of security and stability, modern laws and legislation, its strategic location and the trained qualified manpower in order to promote the available investment opportunities and the possibility of establishing business partnerships with other countries to gain access to regional markets.


He added that the trade sector lays special importance to establishing deep economic relations with trading partners of the Kingdom around the world, especially with the countries of the EU, to support the movement of trade and find new markets for national goods and products.


The Chairman referred to the excellent Jordanian-Greek relations in various economic and trade fields, yet urged the need to boost communication between the business communities in both countries to increase the trade exchange volume.


From his part, Ambassador Fawaz Eitan, stressed the need to intensify trade visits and meetings held between businesspeople to explore investment fields, create real opportunities and develop SMEs.

The Kingdom's exports to Greece during 2013 reached around JD 11 million, compared to JD 31 million as imports.


The meeting, held at the Chamber’s headquarter, was attended by Board Members Reem Badran and Tariq Tabaa, and Jordan Chamber of Commerce Board Member Jamal Abd Almawla.
