ACC and Czech Embassy Discuss Investment and Cooperation

The Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, met with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Jordan, Andrea Kučerová, to discuss ways of strengthening economic, trade, and investment relations between Jordan and the Czech Republic, as well as expanding cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
According to a statement issued by the Chamber, Al-Haj Tawfiq emphasized during the meeting, which was held at the Chamber's premises and attended by board member Falah Al-Sughayer, the importance of building on the strong ties between the two friendly nations and enhancing partnerships between the Jordanian and Czech private sectors across various economic sectors.
He stressed the importance of Czech private-sector participation in the Jordan–European Union Investment Conference, scheduled to take place before the end of this year, describing it as an important platform for showcasing investment opportunities in Jordan and strengthening communication between European and Jordanian investors and companies.
Al-Haj Tawfiq explained that Jordan offers a stable business environment and promising opportunities in many vital sectors, making it an ideal regional hub for investment, business activities, and re-export to regional markets.
He also noted that preparations are underway to organize a Jordanian–Czech Business Forum this summer, aimed at strengthening communication between the business communities of both countries, exploring investment and cooperation opportunities, and building partnerships across various economic sectors.
For her part, Ambassador Kučerová affirmed her country's commitment to enhancing economic and investment cooperation with Jordan and encouraging Czech companies to explore opportunities in the Jordanian market and benefit from the advantages Jordan offers to investors.
During the meeting, she highlighted the participation of Czech companies in the Renewable Energy and Solar Energy Exhibition (SONEX 2026), which will be held in Amman from 15–18 June, with broad participation from local and international companies specializing in energy, sustainability, and modern industrial solutions.
The ambassador also invited Jordanian companies to visit the Czech pavilion at SONEX 2026, which features several specialized Czech companies. She emphasized that the exhibition provides an important opportunity for direct engagement between Jordanian and Czech businesses, as well as for exploring cooperation, investment, and technology transfer opportunities in renewable energy, sustainability, and advanced industrial solutions.
The meeting also addressed arrangements for Jordanian–Czech bilateral business meetings to be held at the Amman Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, 17 June, with the participation of several Czech companies specializing in renewable energy, sustainability, energy management solutions, and smart automation. The aim is to explore opportunities for cooperation and partnership with Jordanian companies operating in these sectors.
Both sides emphasized the importance of these meetings in strengthening direct communication between business leaders and companies in the two countries, exploring opportunities for joint investment and cooperation, and building economic partnerships that contribute to increasing trade volume and facilitating the exchange of expertise and technology between Jordan and the Czech Republic.
