“Amman Chamber of Commerce strengthens its institutional excellence with three international certifications”

The Amman Chamber of Commerce received international certifications for management systems, including the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) and the Customer Complaints and Satisfaction Management System (ISO 10001:2018) certifications, following the transfer of their accreditation to the international company Bureau Veritas.

The Chamber also received the Risk Management System (ISO 31000:2018) certification after successfully passing the renewal audit requirements conducted by Bureau Veritas. The Chamber had previously held this certification from another certifying body; it has now been re-awarded the certification in accordance with the requirements of the internationally recognized standard, confirming its continued commitment to implementing best practices in risk management and enhancing institutional performance efficiency.

The certifications were received by Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Senator Khalil El-Haj Tawfiq, in the presence of the Chamber’s Vice Chairmen Nabil Al-Khatib and Bahjat Hamdan, and Board Member Falah Al-Sughayer. Representing Bureau Veritas was Engineer Ahmad Al-Khawaja, Director of Certification and Accreditation for Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon, and General Manager of the company in Jordan, along with several company officials.

In a statement issued by the Chamber said that obtaining these certifications came after completing all audit requirements and reviewing institutional documents and procedures in accordance with approved international standards. This confirms its commitment to applying best administrative practices, improving institutional performance efficiency, and enhancing the quality of services provided to its members.

El-Haj Tawfiq emphasized that obtaining these international certifications reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to developing its institutional performance and elevating the level of its services in line with the highest global standards in management, quality, customer satisfaction, and risk management. He noted that this achievement is the result of continuous efforts in planning, ongoing improvement, enhancing performance efficiency, and developing the work environment.

He added that the Chamber will continue to keep pace with rapid developments in the business environment, enhance the quality of its services and institutional procedures, and achieve the highest levels of satisfaction and confidence among its General Assembly members and service recipients.

He explained that the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) certification reflects the Chamber’s commitment to implementing an integrated system to ensure service quality and improve institutional performance. The Customer Complaints and Satisfaction Management System (ISO 10001:2018) certification focuses on enhancing the service recipient experience, raising satisfaction levels, and ensuring effective responses to feedback and complaints. Meanwhile, the Risk Management System (ISO 31000:2018) certification aims to strengthen the institution’s ability to identify and manage potential risks efficiently, ensuring business sustainability and continuity of services.

He pointed out that this achievement represents a first among chambers of commerce in the Kingdom, as the Amman Chamber of Commerce is the first Jordanian chamber of commerce to implement an integrated management system comprising the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), Customer Complaints and Satisfaction Management System (ISO 10001:2018), and Risk Management System (ISO 31000:2018) certifications. This reflects its commitment to institutional excellence and the application of international best practices.

He stressed that these certifications provide the Chamber with an additional competitive advantage, strengthen the confidence of its members and service recipients in its performance, and reinforce its position as a leading institution serving the commercial and service sectors according to the highest professional and institutional standards.

The Chamber noted that the Customer Complaints and Satisfaction Management System (ISO 10001:2018) certification contributed to the development of customer satisfaction charters for the Member Services Department and the Training Academy, enhancing understanding of service recipients’ needs, responding to their expectations, and continuously improving satisfaction levels.

For his part, Engineer Ahmad Al-Khawaja confirmed that the Amman Chamber of Commerce’s achievement of these international certifications reflects an advanced level of institutional commitment to applying global standards in management, quality, and risk management. He noted that successfully meeting audit requirements confirms the efficiency of the systems and procedures adopted within the Chamber.

The attending members of the Amman Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors confirmed that obtaining these international certifications reflects a firmly established institutional approach based on continuous development and commitment to quality, governance, and risk management standards. They noted that this achievement will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of services provided to members and increasing satisfaction and confidence among service recipients.
